Flight Data Monitoring
Flight Data Monitoring (FDM), also referred to as Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA), is the analysis of flight data which allows safety managers to identify trends and fully investigate the circumstances behind events flagged. This is so that flight operational procedures and training can be improved.
FDS provides the following:
- FDM replay service
- Operation of FDM systems
- Support of FDM systems
- Supply of complete FDM systems including training
- FDM consultancy
For operators that do not want to operate their own FDM system, FDS provides a world leading web based FDM replay service. This includes secure transfer of data, transcription and analysis, validation of results, and formal presentation of results and statistics in accordance with ICAO requirements.
