FDS is now in the process of delivering the new generation HHMPI Version 2. The Version 2 unit has been updated specifically to meet the requirements to interface with the new Ethernet based flight recorders such as the L3 FA5000, Light weight SRVIVR, and Universal CVFDR. There have been a number of enhancements made in the design and components that make up the HHMPI.
The new HHMPI v2 is able to produce greater download speeds which in turn reduce the time to download the recorder file, as well as improved speed to updating synchronised words in viewing live data in raw format and many additional features for user operation.
Some of the new upgrades to the HHMPI v2 include:
• Updated processor 4 times faster than version 1
• Higher memory (RAM)
• Upgradable COMs circuit board, power module and expansion board
• Larger internal memory (4GB)
• Ethernet recorder interface compatible
• Dual Ethernet ports ( Recorder interface & FTP/Web Interface)
• Wireless capable 802.11g (through USB wireless dongle sold separately)
• 3G Wireless (due Mid 2011)
The lead time for the HHMPI version 2 is 30 - 60 days ARO.
