Lufthansa Technik has purchased Flight Data Systems new Handheld Multi
Purpose Interface (HHMPI) download units after trials were completed in
October 2009.
Preliminary requirements for Lufthansa were met by FDS with a device that is
capable of interfacing with well known flight recorders and the only
Handheld unit capable of utilising the CVR download function.
Lufthansa also had a requirement to supply their client with download hardware units and replay software.
They purchased additional HHMPI's and STARS (Sensor Test & Replay System) with a number of aircraft databases to support their customers download and data analysis software requirements.
System setup for the project is due for completion in February 2010.
